BINDEGEWEBEN - Massage
This unique therapeutic form of massage was developed in Germany 1929, by Elisabeth Dicke, physical therapist and doctor in the University Hospital in Freiburg.
The layer of tissue between skin and muscle consists of connective tissue. Muscle tensions, pain, scar tissue from accidents and operations, old injuries, repetition-related work, physical and emotional stress, inactivity and different diseases will create a thickening of the connective tissue. This creates blockages for the circulation in the body.
This Bindegeweben-technique lengthens and balances the muscles and fascia, providing deep release through the various layers of the body’s musculature.
Increased blood-lymph-circulation, muscle-relaxing, pain-relief, deep relaxation, reduces stress and tension, eliminates toxins, strengthening the immune system, deeper and easier breathing, increase range of motions, balancing the sympatic and parasympatic nervous systems, deeper sleep and more energy.
Pia Back Sanderson is the first therapist on Maui, working with this deep and effective therapeutic massage- technique. |
